Our commitments to the environment
In a world where environmental challenges have become unavoidable, Oxygenz fully embraces its responsibility towards the planet and future generations. We are convinced that sustainability is an essential cornerstone to ensure the sustainability of our activities and the prosperity of our communities.
Since our founding, we have placed environmental protection at the heart of our mission. We firmly believe that every small action contributes to shaping a cleaner and healthier future. It is in this spirit that we have developed a series of ecological initiatives that guide our decisions and actions.
Home office : An ecological lever
Home office is much more than just an adaptation to changing circumstances. It represents a real ecological lever, offering tangible benefits for the planet and its inhabitants. By adopting this practice, companies can not only reduce their carbon footprint, but also contribute to the preservation of the environment in the long term.
One of the main benefits of hoome office is the reduction of travel. By eliminating or reducing commutes, greenhouse gas emissions are significantly reduced. Fewer cars on the road means less air pollution and improved air quality, which benefits the health of individuals and ecosystems. According toINSEE, this saving in greenhouse gas emissions represents up to more than 1 tonne of CO² per year and per employee.
In addition, home office helps to minimize the use of natural resources because in addition to the needs concerning their construction, offices require energy for heating and air conditioning. By using spaces within homes, remote working alone allows the saving of several hundred kWh of electricity per year and per employee. (That's ~143 kWh/m²/year)
Acting for the environment: Our commitment in action
At Oxygenz, our commitment to the environment goes beyond workplace actions. We believe in corporate social responsibility and preserving our planet for future generations. That’s why we’ve taken the initiative to organize regular waste collection operations.
These waste collection initiatives allow us to contribute directly to the fight against pollution and the preservation of biodiversity in our regions. By mobilizing our employees and encouraging the participation of local volunteers, we have been able to clean up natural spaces, while raising public awareness of the importance of responsible waste management.

We strongly believe that every little bit counts in protecting our environment, and picking up trash is a tangible way for us to put our values into action.
Moreover, Oxygenz is committed to collecting waste at a rate of at least 1kg per k€ of profit since 2024.
To date, there are already more than 49kg of waste that was collected.
Committed host : Reducing your carbon footprint
In a context where awareness of the climate emergency is increasing, green hosting is emerging as an innovative response for online businesses. By opting for hosts committed to sustainable practices, companies can significantly reduce their carbon footprint. These hosts use renewable energy sources and implement energy efficiency strategies to minimize their environmental impact.
By choosing OVH as a host, we choose an ecologically committed partner. OVH actively strives to reduce its carbon footprint by using renewable energy to power its data centers and by implementing energy efficiency practices.
In addition, by choosing hosting located in France, we promote a local economy and offer our customers GDPR -compatible services and featuring reduced latency times.
Reducing our impact : Limiting paper printing
Paper printing has a significant impact on the environment at different stages of its life cycle. First, paper production requires the exploitation of natural resources such as trees, water and energy. This production leads to deforestation, loss of natural habitats and destruction of ecosystems. In addition, the paper manufacturing process generates greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to climate change.
Once printed, paper documents are often used inefficiently, resulting in a waste of resources. Many printouts are quickly discarded after being read, creating unnecessary waste and contributing to environmental pollution. Additionally, disposing of paper waste often requires the use of energy and resources for recycling or incineration, further adding to the environmental footprint of paper printing.
According to the report Green IT 2020, only 52% of companies print less than 10 pages per employee per day.
At Oxygenz, we go even further by reducing our printing as much as possible.
In 2023 as in 2024, less than 1 page per employee per day have been printed.
Responsible computing : Our equipment policy
Investing in high-quality, high-performance and robust IT equipment is a strategic choice to reduce the ecological footprint of our digital activities. Better quality equipment has a longer lifespan, which reduces the frequency of its replacement and thus reduces the production of electronic waste, one of the greatest environmental challenges of our time.
Additionally, high-performance hardware often uses less energy thanks to optimized components and advanced technologies. This helps limit the impact of IT activities on greenhouse gas emissions, while reducing energy costs.
By choosing reliable and durable equipment, we also promote a more responsible economy, reducing the demand for rare raw materials and supporting manufacturers committed to ethical and ecological practices. A larger initial investment thus becomes a lever for an environmentally friendly digital future.
Green IT: Our eco-responsible strategy
IT development has an often underestimated environmental impact. Heavy and poorly optimized applications require increased computing power, thus increasing the energy consumption of servers and user devices. This energy demand directly contributes to greenhouse gas emissions.
Optimizing developments and making wise software choices is therefore essential. Lean and efficient code reduces resource requirements, while the use of sustainable and energy-efficient software limits the ecological footprint.
By adopting these practices, we are building a more environmentally friendly digital world, without compromising on efficiency or innovation.
